I just realized that a lot of things got accomplished this weekend. They seemed like very small, minor things but I know that the small, minor things are the ones that make life run smoothly. Here's the list:
Dinner with Kyle's family
Finished reading "The Time Traveller's Wife"
Watched Kyle's Upward Basketball team play their last game
Picked out new shower curtains for Nannie's new bathroom
Found new art for my bedroom at the new apartment
Drove to Kyle's school and rearranged the furniture, hung up new poster's and cleaned
Drove to Indianapolis and watched Anderson University's tennis team lose against Franklin College (while this is not great, it did happen)
Bought a baby shower gift
Watched the movie "The Time Traveller's Wife" (and was reminded that I hate to watch a movie after I've read the book)
Went to church
Selected paint for Nannie's bathroom
Went to four furniture stores and shopped for a new kitchen table and chairs (but came up empty handed)
Went to the Upward Basketball award ceremony
Enjoyed a banana milkshake
Watched the movie "I Love You Man"
Bought some things for spring break vacation
Graded papers
Made a Power Point for Kyle
Made a crossword puzzle for Kyle
Proofread a study guide for Kyle (even thought my grammar and spelling seems poor on my blog, I actually do know how to write)
Slept in (kinda)
I think that is everything. Oh, and I managed to take a nap on both Saturday and Sunday. I am not a napping kind of person but for some reason, I've been needing them more lately.
Sometime this week I will post my opinions on "The Time Traveller's Wife".
Until then, x's and o's!

It's March 10th
I couldn't think of a creative title... :/
Sunday, I finally started reading "Time Travelers Wife". I bought this book so long ago and was so excited to read it and it kept getting put off. Here is why I procrastinate in starting a new book: once I start, I can't stop. Every book I've ever read is like this. Once I have read the first chapter, I'm hooked and I can't put it down, even if I don't really like it. (Sidenote: If I really hate the book or can't get into it, I usually don't finish it. Which is bad.) Also, with this book, I bought it the same time I bought some others and it got pushed down on the reading list. ANYWAY, I am halfway through and I had to make myself stop reading because I was falling asleep.
I have started designing invitations for my sisters baby shower. It won't be until the end of June/first of July, but it's so fun to design them. I have four different designs I made and shared with Amber and my mom and they, of course, choose the two that the other didn't like as much. So, I'm going back to the drawing board to come up with something they both like with colors they both like. I will post the final one on here whenever I come up with it.
I just ate 2 Dark Chocolate Hershey Kisses #randomthought yum yum!
AND! Last but not least, I bought the Clinique foundation and have never been happier. :D

Random Beauty Things
Lately, I have felt like a headless chicken, which is actually pretty gross. I've been working 2 full time jobs (designer and Kyle's assistant) and doing a pretty poor job at my part time job (housekeeper of my tiny apartment). I'm not complaining but I've just been so worn out lately that in my free time I just sleep or watch YouTube videos, which is my current addiction.
On a up note, I made a much-needed trip to MAC cosmetics but was so turned off by the sales associate that I didn't buy anything. So, I went back the next day and the same girl was working so I didn't even go in. (Side note: MAC is at the Fashion Mall and I was there with Kyle who was buying a new MacBook at Apple. We went to buy the computer and the next day to pick it up after they transferred all the data from his old one for him. I didn't drive to Indy just to go to a makeup store.) So after the disappointing trip to MAC (the "up note" part is coming), I journeyed across the street to Ulta.... And discovered my new FAVORITE STORE! It's a make-up-obsessed-girl's-dream store. I'm going to give a quick blog haul so that I can refer back to it later and see how much I loved it when I bought it.
NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk ($4) Great highlighter! Goes on dreamy-creamy and blends easily (but best with finger as opposed to a blending brush).
NYX slim lip pencil in Citrine ($3) Gorgeous pigment and color. I haven't used it all day so I will have to see how it holds up to my skin.
Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion ($18) I haven't used this yet but I already love it because of the genie style bottle :)
Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Primer Potion ($30) LOOOOVE! I had been looking for a good primer to help with my oily skin and this does it! My foundation stayed in place, didn't get melty or blochy. Definitely worth the money.
Japonesque Pro Eye Detailer Brush 213 ($18) So soft and silky on your skin. I used a really crappy eyeshadow with little pigmentation so I had to apply a lot to get the color I wanted but it worked well and fit my eye space pretty perfect.
Japonesque Pro Concealer Brush 310 ($14) Like the 213, it felt wonderful to the touch. It really helped me to control how much product I was using and blended nicely.

Because I know y'all wanted to see a pic :D
I also ordered a Coastal Scents 88 Color Palette that I should receive by tomorrow (I've been tracking it online) and I CAN'T WAIT! I'm excited to try out some new colorful looks for spring. Next on the list is new foundation and I think I'm going to go with my gut and try Clinique Superfit.

ECLIPSE.
I finally was able to continue reading the Twilight series. I just finished the third book, Eclipse, and I must say... I found it incredibly unentertaining (if that is a word). I enjoyed learning about more of the characters but other than that, I was not real impressed. I have organized my thoughts into highlights and lowlights.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Learning about Rosalie's past. I mentioned before that I was very curious as to why Rosalie was so against Bella becoming a vampire. I think that her story was very interesting and I'm glad I finally got to hear her testimony, if you could call it that.
Learning about Jasper. I think that he, by far, has the most interesting human to vampire story. I loved the way he was transformed, I loved how he was so involved with other vampires and had to learn to become a “vegetarian” after years of being a human-eater.
Edward and Jacob spending quality time together. I love the complexity of these two characters. I have grown to dislike Bella because she just annoys me. Her indecisiveness, her dependence on Edward, yet her desire to be friends with his nemesis, her constant wanting to become a vampire… I’m just really over it. HOWEVER, I love Edward and Jacob and I strongly want them to become friends, which I realize is silly. They both have such strong feelings for Bella and it’s like strange love triangle. When I think of love triangles, my mind goes right to Dawson’s Creek and how in the end, Pacey and Dawson were able to be friends even after Joey choose Pacey. And I just want that for Edward and Jacob.
LOWLIGHTS:
The tribal history of the werewolf pack. I was so put to sleep by this long, drawn out story. I was able to read one sentence on each of the 10 pages and I feel like I understand the story just fine.
Bella’s trips to La Push. I cannot get over how stupid she is! I mean, she has Alice who can see the future of everything, everywhere, except La Push, yet she decides to go there! How silly!
Bella’s decision to become a vampire. I cannot understand why she is so eager to become a vampire when she can continue living the way she is for awhile. Especially now that Victoria is not a problem. Which leads me to my next issue…
The fight scene. I CANNOT believe that Bella asked Edward to not fight. I mean, get tough and let someone else stay with you to insure that no one gets hurt. I suppose everything worked out well, but come on! It was so built up and then… a disappointment.
There are many more but I'm over it.
I know that I will read Breaking Dawn and will read the fifth book when it comes out but I don't have high hopes.
One thing that I have been doing, which is fun and girly, is creating make up looks inspired by characters. (Keep in mind, I haven't seen the movies so I don't know how the director/producers translate the book characters into movie characters.) Today for example, I'm wearing Alice Cullen inspired make up. I went really girly because I feel like that's the feeling I get from her. The books describe her as walking like she's dancing, graceful, voice like a bell, and she loves planning fun events for Bella. My eyes are done in pink and blue pastel, baby pink lipstick with glittery lip-gloss, and pinky pink blush. I would have added more glitter and sparkle if I were going anywhere more exciting than work but I was trying to keep it professional. I think my next look will be Rosalie because it will be so different from what I normally wear. The books say that she was human in 1915, so I’m excited to try to do a fun look from that time.
Until next time... x's and o's

WEAK.ends.
I would like to start off by saying it is completely my fault that I had too eventful of a week and weekend. I jinxed myself because I wished for more excitement. That resulted in too much excitement. From now on, I will be grateful for what I have. I'm going to give a recap and hope that it is short and sweet.
MONDAY: Started the week off nice and easy, nothing eventful.
TUESDAY: There is a strange feeling in the office. Everyone is on edge. Kyle had a melt down about school and I had to help him get reorganized which caused me to have to cancel the line dancing class I had just signed up to take. My sister and her boyfriend wound up in a financial crisis and had to come up with $700 by Wednesday. He also found himself in the hospital and needed 8 staples in his head. Had nightmares all night and got next to no sleep.
WEDNESDAY: It was my little sis's (from my sorority) birthday and she recently moved to Texas. I had mailed her a gift and on Wednesday I found it returned in my mailbox requesting more postage. Everyone at the office is still on edge. Also Wednesday I went to Zumba at the YMCA. When I left, I slipped on the only patch of ice in the parking lot and hurt my knee. Again, had nightmares all night.
THURSDAY: The office feels like a war zone. I'm not sure how this happened. Arrived at Walmart to pick up my pictures ten minutes after the photo lab closed. Walked the track at church while Kyle coached basketball and a little kid ran around the corner right into me and fell. I felt so bad! Late Thursday while I'm sleeping I am woke by someone repeatedly slamming their door. After 20 minutes of this I got up to see what was going on. I look out side to see a man climbing into the apartment 2 doors down. I freaked out because I live alone and I had no idea who he was. I called the cops and they came and talked to him. It ended up that he lived there (although I had never seen him) and lost his keys. He tried to call the landlord 4 times but didn't get an answer so he busted out the window. (I'm still not sure why he didn't just stay at a friends house until the maintenance staff let him in.) I try to go back to sleep and am woke up every hour by some kind of noise. First it was birds on my window air unit, then a Jetson-type sound coming from my thermostat, then the alarm radio from my neighbors bedroom.
It is now FRIDAY. I spill coffee (which I obviously needed from having no sleep) on my gloves. The office has gone from war zone to uncomfortably quiet. I spend 6 hours working on a drawing, only to have the computer freeze, shut down, and not back up the file. I have to finish the drawing in 2 hours. I sit through a miserable 2 hour Burris High School basketball game while Kyle converses with 8th graders who played on the team he coached last year. (The game would have been fun except for the fact that Burris was blown out of the water and I had no one to talk to.)
SATURDAY: I oversleep (because it's the first time all week I don't have nightmares or loud neighbors). I have no time to clean my disaster of an apartment because I'm now running late to Kyle's basketball game at church. I take mail to my sister and realize I forgot to bring my laundry home to wash. I go back to the apartment and get my laundry and then go back home. I ended up making another trip back and forth although now I cannot remember why. I spend an hour and a half trying on formal dresses in Castleton and can't find one that is appropriate for a fundraiser event in my price range, style preference, and size. Kyle and I get stuck in traffic for an hour and just barely make it to Monster Jam (of course this causes an argument and we are both in foul moods because of it). Kyle later walks us 4 blocks out of the way in downtown Indy in 7 degree weather to an expensive bar that I didn't even want to go to. I also receive a text from my friend Katie whose boyfriend of 1.5 years has just broken up with her completely out of left field.
SUNDAY: I sleep through my church alarm and just barely wake up in time for Sunday dinner at Kyle's grandparents. Later, I drive to Indy to have dinner with Katie and another friend. After driving an hour there and waiting for 15 minutes at the restaurant, Katie decided she just didn't want to get out of bed. We finally persuade her to come and she spills the whole breakup story. Mackenzie and I end up more confused about the breakup and annoyed with him. Katie is a mess and there wasn't much we could say to console her. (I mean really, how do you say you want to marry someone and then break up with her a week later, all because your friend from third grade, who doesn't know your girlfriend, convinces you that your relationship sucks and is going no where?!) I call Kyle on the way home and give him the scoop and he tells me about an announcement at the evening church service. We are now looking for a new secretary and a new pastor. They both resigned because they were having a year long AFFAIR! Whoa! (talk about left field). Our pastor has run away and we aren't real sure where he went. He told all the deacons and the associate pastors and then fled the state. So the associate pastor made the announcement (this was necessary because so many people were involved; both were married with multiple children and their whole families belong to the church) and everyone is outraged. The secretary asks for forgiveness and her husband says that they will be working through it. The pastor's wife announces that they are divorcing but that is all she knows since he left. The church decides to help support her until she can get her life figured out (she just has a part time job) and that upset some people.
Overall, it was a weird week, full of strange incidents. I'm praying that this week is more relaxing and less eventful.
Now that I think about it... the week led up to a FULL MOON.

2 Down
Never in my life have I read books so fast or been so attached (not even to Harry Potter). I finished "Twilight" early Tuesday morning. Then I made the mistake of reading the sneak peak in the back of the book for "New Moon". Within an hour I had started it. (sidenote: I woke up very sick on Tuesday. Sore throat, upset stomach, dizzy, fever. Not fun. So what did else did I have to do all day but read and work on Christmas presents?) I finished "New Moon" by early evening, stopping only twice to shower and try to eat and then to work on Christmas blankets.
I LOVED "Twilight" and I liked "New Moon". In "New Moon", I missed Edward and the other Cullen's. I grew to like Jacob. Bella annoyed me slightly. (*SPOILER*) I was happy with the ending but thought it extremely odd that Edward, Bella, and Alice were able to get out of Italy and home safely. I mean, Alice made it sound like it would be a bad situation no matter what. Bella got off surprisingly easy, considering she wants to become a vampire anyway. And I can't understand why Bella doesn't just tell her father everything. I mean, he's already in danger because of Bella knowing and becoming involved. Billy knows about everything. And you would think that it would help him to know what's going on in the town since he is police chief. What harm will it really do to tell him?
As far as watching the movies... I'm always disappointed in movies after I read the book. I have things pictured a certain way and I want them to stay that way. I don't want to hear the story a different way, with parts left out, and I don't want my perfect characters to be destroyed by matching them with a flawed Hollywood actor. Even characters as minor as Sam and Mike and Angela and Renee.
My theory is that there are two types of "Twilight" fans: those who love the story and characters for what they are and those that mostly love the story because they love the actors that play the parts. It's the second set that bother me and turned me away from reading the series. I figured if those looney people like this stuff, I'd rather not read it. And I unfortunately seemed to only know those types of people (or heard their feelings about it).
I'm currently in the process of obtaining "Eclipse". I'm interested to know if Bella becomes a vampire or if she goes to college. Does she continue to miss Jacob? And does she do anything about it? Do they ever catch Victoria? Will Rosalie ever accept Bella? (I've always found her to be curious and suspicious.) I'm interested to see how the story unfolds.
