Keepin' Up

Work has been just as busy as ever. It seems as though we are starting new jobs everyday. I have specifically been doing more project management. For us, that means I attend meetings and take notes to update clients project binders. I create schedules with contractor timelines to provide to the client. And other misc. things that come up and Andrew says "we will cover that," which is often. I love doing it and the other designers do not love it, so it works out well.

More good news is that Kyle found a teaching job!!! He applied on Thursday, had an interview Friday morning and was hired Friday afternoon. He is very excited but nervous since school starts on Monday. There is so much to do before it starts. I told him that I would help him set up his classroom so that he can concentrate on getting the lesson plans started. The school is Southern Wells Elementary, located about an hour north of Muncie. For now he will stay at home and commute. He is going to get a new car with 4-wheel drive so that the winter driving isn't too bad. Eventually I think he will want to move a little closer, altough there isn't anywhere really between here ant there. We will see what happens.

Kyle and I went on our first vacation together at the end of July. It was wonderful to have a break from work and everyday life. We went to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island for a friend's wedding. Here is a picture of us at the beach.
